Fringe is one of my favorite trends and one that always lingers regardless of the season. Designers continuously create new, innovative ways to incorporate fringe in their garments and accessories. For Fall 2014 we saw many designers such as Michael Kors, Lanvin and Roberto Cavalli flirting with the trend, but for Spring 2015 fringe becomes a full blown frenzy! Whether you want to go cowgirl all the way or just incorporate a couple of fringed accessories to liven up your look, now is the time! The great thing about this trend is that you probably have some fringe pieces in your wardrobe already. I went through my racks and I pulled out a couple of pieces that I have and put together some looks for you guys. Although none on these fringe items are current season, I have found similar items that you can buy now. Let’s get our fringe on!
Leather Fringe Top
Suede Fringe Jacket
This amazing piece was a vintage find at Goodwill a couple of years ago. This one is made from genuine leather, but you can also get a faux one which looks similar here. Nasty Gal have another vegan friendly option (on sale!) here and this one by Saint Laurent is the real deal. Faux leather pants are from H&M and sneakers are Adidas.
I love my slouchy fringe boots that I bought from Zara last winter. It was an impulse buy, as the heel on one of the boots I was wearing broke while I was out and about with my family in Spain. I ended up wearing them every single day after that. They are super comfortable and can go with many different looks. Similar ones here.
This fringe vegan leather carry-all is from Aldo from a couple of years ago. You can get a similar option at JC Pennys or if you want to splurge check out this beautiful metallic fringe shoulder bag from Stella McCartney. My dress is from Urban Outfitters, septum ring from Vida Kush, earrings from Forever21, bangles from Aldo.
Finge Collar Necklace
I adore this necklace. It is definitely a statement piece in it self and can make any plain outfit stand out. I got this one at H&M last year. The dress is Sass & Bide, see more outfit pictures and details here! I can’t find a necklace that is quite the same as this one, Etsy have a couple cool ones however.
I bought this skirt when I was 15 or 16 at Topshop. I remember the day perfectly. There were not very many cool clothing stores for my age in my little town in Spain, so once in a while my dad would take us to Gibraltar to go to Topshop and some of the British department stores where we would find the more trendy and fashionable clothes. We were always very excited for these trips. This skirt is such an original piece and I’m glad that I’ve held on to it for all these years. This is the first time I wear it again and I’ve once again fallen in love with it! I can’t find anything like this one right now, but there are lots of other cute fringe skirts here: Planet Blue, OuterInner, Neiman Marcus.
